Liverpool's Danny Ings and Tottenham's Dele Alli were called into the England squad for the first time for the final two Euro 2016 qualifiers. Ings, 23, played for England at the 2015 under-21 European Championship while the 19-year-old Alli made his under-21 debut last month. "Danny is someone we've followed very closely in the last year but haven't had a chance to bring him in because of the under-21 tournament he was at," manager Roy Hodgson told a news conference on Thursday. "Dele Alli is so young and has just broken into Tottenham team but we've been very impressed with what we've seen of him." England, who booked their place at Euro 2016 last month, host Estonia on October 9 and wrap up qualifying in Lithuania three days later. England squad: Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke City), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Burnley). Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), John Stones (Everton). Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Ross Barkley (Everton), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Liverpool), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City). Forwards: Danny Ings (Liverpool), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City), Theo Walcott (Arsenal). | |||||
