Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich dropped points for the first time in the Bundesliga this season when held to a battling goalless draw by midtable Eintracht Frankfurt Friday. Bayern dominated the contest but struggled to create many chances despite having 70 per cent of possession. A late strike by Robert Lewandowski, correctly ruled out for offside, was as close as they came to a goal. Immediately after the break Frankfurt enjoyed a brief strong spell and threatened a winner from Alexander Meier. Marc Stendera was also presented with a great opportunity following Manuel Neuer's error but the keeper recovered to save. The draw takes Bayern eight points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who can cut the gap when they visit Werder Bremen on Saturday. Eintracht gained a place to 11th, moving above promoted Darmstadt. | |||||
